SIMPLIFY THE STEPS (continued…)

Awareness is a great tool when making decision… if you knew the right key to unlocking a special door was part of the keys you never tried, what would the feeling be? Being aware goes beyond the confines of your shell, it necessitates you to be bold enough to kickstart a task. This of course doesn’t mean that you’re sure about the outcome of event rather it births fulfillment as I stated in my last writing https://link.medium.com/5AmS9i11c4. Often times uncertainties stares into our faces and we are either too timid or simply indifferent. Neither does any good, eventually we end up in valley filled with blame and regrets when we realize how much time we have lost to indecision.

To make those giant moves, need be that you start with baby(simplified) steps. Practical ways to achieve this include but are not limited to:

  • CONTROL: yes, you read that right, control it is. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” is a quote I’ve held onto for almost a decade only to understand it actually meant control. You need to sit and converse with self to determine who wields the sword of control. If it is another, be it person or circumstance, you’ve got to take charge and dictate the tune. Get this right “It’s your life you only get to live it once”.
  • MAKE MISTAKES: just maybe this one sound weird..lol.. it actually isn’t. Perfection is a mirage we struggle to get to, you go against all odds to attain it depriving you the expression of self. Aren’t you anxious to meet yourself? who you are, what you can do, how far you should go?… You wouldn’t be able to get answers to any of those questions if you’re not set to gather the pieces. As you progress to take actions, mistakes are inevitable, be prepared to make one and pick lessons from all.
  • CURIOSITY: the more you seek to know, the better you get at actually knowing. This of course also births your awareness and aids your decision making and it’s processes.
  • CELEBRATE: we are accustomed to celebrating seemingly big things, successes and all, but little or no attention is paid to effort that doesn’t generate much. As much as possible, celebrate yourself, your efforts, small wins and acknowledge your failures.
