Isn’t it safer to stay on the fence than feel the pain of brokenness on the other side?

SIMPLIFY THE STEPS

Many at times we find ourselves at that crossroad of decision making, torn between which is and which is not. Too often, we refrain from responsibilities leaving seemingly neutral but important things to chance. This sometimes lead to “I wish I had…” but at this point it’s quite late to start gathering pieces. Indecision, a state of comfort we choose to temporarily soothe our fears and insecurities only leaves us with a worse version of ourselves. We then beat ourselves to all of things, feeling more scared and possibly clueless.

Assuming control in the place of decision is key in getting better at making one… after all we learn how to cut down a tree by simply cutting it down. Just like two ends of a rod, when you pick up an end, you are invariably responsible for the other end.

We are continuously introduced to our better version as a result of the choices we make. To start with, let’s get to that board with a pen in our hands and a responsibility mindset to make that decision. Whether the decision made is huge or little, knowing fully well that you made that choice awaken a sense of fulfillment. That deliberate step of decision making taken simplifies and boldens all other steps to be taken later on.

In essence, you are the product of the decision you made or didn’t make yesterday.
